Time of Death: 12:34 pm
My Blazer has been sick for a while, and today it finally took it’s last breath. After a series of events involving overheating, loud engine noises, smoke coming from under the hood, and many lights flashing on my dash (all in a two minute period), the car finally stopped working. I could tell as it puttered to a stop and all of the gauges flew down to zero that this would probably be the last time I drove that car. Now it’s safely parked up next to a curb in the neighborhood by my apartments waiting for a dad of one of the kids at work to come pick it up. The sad part is there was a brand new tank of gas in it.
So, tonight I will begin the quest to replace my Blazer. I am excited about finally having something different, but not excited about being forced into having a new car payment just a few months before I wanted one. Hopefully sometime in the next few days I’ll be driving a new, cleaner, smaller vehicle. I’m excited.
Aside from the car situation, everything is going pretty well. I saw Batman last night and I really enjoyed it. I think the IMAX is a great way to see movies, and I definitely recommend seeing this one on that big screen. Tonight Brian and I will watch the third Harry Potter movie, and I am super excited about that. I don’t remember much about this movie except that it started to get a little darker than the previous ones. It seems that lately dark movies have been all I’m seeing. I need Nancy Meyers to come up with something new. Something’s Gotta Give and the Holiday are wearing out my DVD player.
Kylie’s Bridal Shower is at my parent’s house on Thursday! Hopefully I’ll have some good pictures to post after that fun event.
aww….farewell Blazer. We had some fun times with that car. It somehow managed to take us safely to Florida and back, even if the AC didn’t work. That is super sad about the full gas tank, too.
Good luck with the car search! You should get a Civic…or a Toyota. or a Hummer.
It turns out car shopping is not very fun. I am looking at Hyundais right now. I didn’t really mean to but it looks like Brian and I might have the same car, just different years. I’ll try to stay away from the hatchback though.
